With Arizona summers, it’s not always easy to go experience something new and in most cases, all we want to do is cool off inside or in a pool. Here is a chance to keep the kids cool in a summer activity you’ve probably done quite a bit, but in a new location!

Some places have non-resident passes s and welcome guests, but most cities limit it to only residents and their guests. So be a guest! It’s usually only a few extra dollars than a resident pass. No biggie for hours of refreshing fun with new friends and new environment.
Buckeye, Arizona Pool
Buckeye Aquatic Center

- Buckeye Aquatic Center took into consideration of their families and we are loving it. They have a high dive and low dive. Plus a 160-water slide AND zero depth, beach style area perfect for the littles to have some freedom to play.
- The entry fee is $2, but they also have season passes.
- Individual Pass is $50
- A family pass for a family of 6 is $150
- They also offer swim lessons, lap swim and aerobics classes for various fees.
Goodyear, Arizona Pools
Goodyear Aquatic Center
420 S. Estrella Pkwy., Goodyear, Arizona
- Located at the Goodyear Recreation Campus, this is the Ultimate West Valley Arizona public pool with zero-depth entry and a play structure, leisure pool, lazy river, 8 swim lanes, diving boards and 2 water slides!
- They also have pool cabanas for rent! Sign us, up!
- Plus you can rent the whole center… or a section of it, depending on what are you looking for! Pool party, anyone?
Loma Linda Pool
430 E. Loma Linda Blvd., Goodyear, Arizona
- FREE admission during the summer season!
- Monday – Friday: Enjoy a dip in the Loma Linda Pool in Goodyear from 12pm-4pm
- Saturday – Sunday; Enjoy a dip at the Loma Linda Pool in Goodyear from 12pm – 5pm
Glendale, Arizona Pools
Both Glendale, Arizona pools are open to residents AND non-residents for just an extra dollar difference.
Foothills Aquatic Center
5600 W. Union Hills Dr.
- Open every Tuesday – Saturday from 1pm – 5pm!
- It is closed on Sundays & Mondays.
- It has 2 water slides, a kiddie slide (Yay!), a zero-depth pool entry for the littles with spray/fountain features.
- Also, a lazy river, swim lanes, diving boards, and a snack bar.
- Yes, we said a snack bar! Amen!
- They also have day-use lockers – just bring your own locker!
- It’s open through July 29th each summer, then it only remains open for fitness programming and swim classes
Rose Lane Aquatic Center
5003 W. Marlette Ave.
- Touting the same hours and similar amenities as Foothills Aquatic Center (see above) however it’s only a seasonal
- Large leisure pool with zero-depth entry, giant slide, kiddie slide (big Yes from us!) and diving boards!
- It’s also open to NON-RESIDENTS for only a $1 more! 2 years old and younger are FREE.
Surprise, Arizona Pools
Both Surprise, Arizona public pools are open to residents AND non-residents for a few extra dollars difference. They also are open much later in the year, well into late August and September!
Surprise Aquatic Center

- 2 slides, a whirlpool, lap pool, diving board and zero-depth area with water play features!
- Daily pool passes are only available for non-residents but residents can buy semi-annual pool passes.
- Through August 1st hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 12 – 6 p.m.
Friday: 12 – 4 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 12 – 6 p.m
- Monday – Thursday: 12 – 6 p.m.
- August 2nd – September 24 hours: Saturday and Sundays only from 2pm – 6pm
Hollyhock Community Pool
15808 N. Hollyhock St.
- Hollyhock is a smaller facility but with some great amenities including a water spray pad with play features and a water slide
- They do not currently have a lap swim pool
- Through August 2nd hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 12 – 3 p.m.
Friday – Sunday: 12 – 4 p.m
- Monday – Thursday: 12 – 3 p.m.
- Through August 27th hours: Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm – 4pm
Peoria, Arizona Pools
Centennial Pool
14388 N 79th Ave
- Open through August 6 for open swim from 12pm-3pm during the week and 12pm-5pm on the weekends.
- Offer open swim, lap swim, a slide and plenty of shaded canopy areas.
- They offer swim lessons and summer passes ($100 for a family of six or $30 for an individual)
Sunrise Pool
21321 N 86th Dr.
- Open through August 6 for open swim from 12pm-3pm and 7:30pm-9pm (we love the evening swim option!)
- Offer open swim, lap swim, diving and a water slide.
- Season passes are good at all three pools!
Peoria Pool
11200 N 83rd Ave
- Open the same hours as Sunrise Pool with evening swim from 7:30pm-9pm which we love!
Offre open swim, lap swim, diving and shaded canopy areas.
